Registered Nurse, Acute Trauma Medsurg Unit - Full time
DescriptionSummary:The Acute Trauma Medical Surgical unit is a 40-bed mixed unit on the 5th floor. This unit cares for the medical monitored patients as well as traumatic injuries transferred from the ICU and Emergency Department. It also specializes in post-operative care of patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and urologic procedures. The unit is known for being "The Center of Excellence" for the care of bariatric surgery patients. For the 40-bed unit, there is usually 3-4 PCTs scheduled each shift for nursing support. There is a Mobility Technician from the Physical Therapy Department that is assigned to the Acute Trauma Medical Surgical unit to assist patients with becoming mobilized.
