The Nursing Assistant supports professional nursing staff in an inpatient care setting. This includes the care of adult patients with a variety of medical/surgical/psychiatric conditions such as advanced infections, amputations, congestive heart failure, dehydration, diabetes, fall-related injuries, hip and knee replacements, pneumonia, sepsis, psychiatric issues, and patients who are receiving chemotherapy agents. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
