Job Description
Oversees and performs a wide range of administrative activities in support of the Chief HR Officer and the DUH HR team. Serves as the Onboarding Coordinator - the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired employees. Also serves as program administrator for several internal programs - Employee Development and Recognition.
Provides support activities such as calendar management, scheduling meetings and processing expense reports, etc. Prepares executive level, complex presentations using a variety of technology products.
Independently develops, distributes and monitors reports for compliance and resolves discrepancies.
Develops and compiles HR metrics and performs data analysis; presents findings in a professional and effective manner. Assists in problem solving, HR process execution and day to day data requests.
Develops content for and updates the DUH HR website as well as other communication tools.
Partners with others to organize resources and execute complex projects, operations, and/or events for the department. Assists in program planning and project management.
Identifies trends in operational procedures quickly, develops and implements changes and procedural solutions for issues of moderate complexity; communicates changes to others in the department.
Responds to management requests for information that may be highly sensitive; performs research and analysis on specific issues and independently prepares non-routine letters which may be highly sensitive.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school education or equivalent with five years of administrative OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE. support experience of increasing variety, complexity and demonstration of work leadership. Two years post-secondary education with three years of experience.
Experience
2+ years' experience in an administrative or analytical support role, preferably in human resources
Highly Advanced PC skills required (Must be fluent in MS Office, Word, Excel (well versed in Pivot Tables, V/H Lookup, etc.), Outlook, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
Ability to gather data, and information, and prepare reports independently and in a timely and/or urgent manner as needed
Proven ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
Performs routine data entry in HRIS and other HR-related tools and systems
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Prioritize and ensure timely completion of commitments/deliverables
Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Knowledge of general HR and administrative principles including payroll processes.
Must have a passion for teamwork
