Plan and provide advanced and/or specializ ednursing care for patientsin accordance with guidelines established wit hin the Discipline ofNursing Clinical Ladder Program; participate in edu cational activities,departmental committees, research projects or other health relatedprojects as assigned. The Clinical Nurse III prov ides leadership at the unit level. The CNIIIindependently and creatively implements the nursing process forindividual patientsand identifies nee ds and plans care for unit patientpopulations. The CNIII ispositive duri ng changes and supports growth ofpeers. The CNIII isable toeffectively c ommunicate with all members ofthe health care team.
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program. Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are expected to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within five years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.
