Serve as a primary care physician/provider for a panel of patients. He/She is responsible for the continuing management of assigned patients to include examination, medical care management, coordination of consultation, referral of patients, development and operation of quality assurance and utilization programs including peer reviews, community clinic physicians and services and physicians in Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic of North Florida/South Georgia regions. Candidate would provide comprehensive Primary Care, including Women's Health, in an office setting utilizing both traditional face to face and virtual/video modalities. Interest in working on a very complex outpatient clinic within one of the busiest VA systems in the nation. Has a strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide leadership to care team. Knowledge and motivation to achieve facility and clinic performance measure goals. Duties of the position may include but are not limited to: o Perform core privileges: o Preventive health care. o Initial diagnosis of cardiac diseases, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Initial diagnosis of dermatologic diseases, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Initial diagnosis of endocrine and metabolic diseases, and ongoing treatment o Initial diagnosis of gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases, and ongoing treatment o Initial diagnosis of hematological and oncologic disease, and ongoing o Initial diagnosis of infectious disease, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Initial diagnosis of pulmonary diseases, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Initial diagnosis of renal disease, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Initial diagnosis of rheumatologic diseases, and ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. o Chronic disease management of medical diseases, including hypertension , diabetes, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, using clinical practice guidelines. · o Conduct skills and procedures: o Bladder catheterization o Electrocardiography o Fracture/dislocation immobilization o Injection of bursa or joint o Interpretation of EKG's o Laceration/wound management and repair o Splint/reduce fractures and dislocations VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
