Job Overview: Functions as a member of the surgical / operating room sterile team. Creates and maintains a sterile field, and issues instruments to surgeons and staff.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
1. Set up surgical tables, instruments and supplies required for specific operations
2. Assists in preparation and draping of patient and operative area
3. Prepares and passes instruments, sutures, and supplies needed in the operative procedure and maintains a correct count
4. Assists in maintenance and care of specimens
5. Decontaminates all equipment, instruments and supplies
Qualifications:
1. Certification in operating room technician program
2. One-year current experience required
3. Two to three years of experience preferred
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification MidLantic Urology is an equal opportunity employer.
